Introducing The Le Moc Weston

J.M. Weston pays tribute to the iconic 180 moccasin with the Le Moc range for summer.

Le Moc spreads its wings to give complete power to summer style and elegance. The inner stiffeners have disappeared, the leather skins have been rigorously chosen for their suppleness and support, the structure has been carefully crafted thanks to ever – perfected expertise . The shoe is reduced to the essential, offering a comfortable and lightweight feel and an inimitable look, whilst still respecting the shape of the 180 moccasin.

The tip is still drawn with pride, the V-shape instep remains evident, revealing an aristocratic soul with presence. The new element is a playful deconstructing act that leaves room for the material. The cashmere-touch calfskin , scorzino grained calfskin ,reveal their qualities of suppleness and comfort . The shoe caresses, supports and hugs one’s foot to go unnoticed.

Le Moc breaks the rules to move away from urban and formal environments and escape towards summer temptations. It calls to mind faraway lands and never-ending walks to discover new places, and landscapes reminiscent of Nicolas de Staël’s paintings. Dreamy, colourful façades of Cuban houses interspersed with aqua- blue, red, and ochre come alive, faded by the burning sun. The wearer walks in the footsteps of Ernest Hemingway, like a writer, or an adventurer roaming the world in search of perfect elegance. Le Moc means rolled- up trousers, or a linen shirt which has been casually slipped on. It is on this eternal quest for freedom that Le Moc find its full expression.
