Omega: Official Timekeeper Of The 95th Pga Championship

OMEGA – an Official Patron of The PGA of America

The 95th edition of the storied tournament is being played at the Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, NY from the 8th to the 11th of August, and OMEGA – an Official Patron of The PGA of America – will be on hand to serve as timekeeper and will provide the tournament’s official watch.

The year’s final Major, the PGA Championship has been won by many of the best golfers in the sport’s history. The list of champions includes Walter Hagen, Ben Hogan and Gary Player along with Jack Nicklaus, who won it five times and Tiger Woods, who has won four. Interestingly, the great Arnold Palmer never won a PGA Championship – the only Major title he never claimed.

Founded in 1916, the PGA Championship has evolved into one of the world’s premier sporting events. Since 1994, it has boasted more of the world’s officially-ranked top 100 players than any other tournament and in 2002, the roster included 98 of the world’s 100 top-ranked golfers!

OMEGA entered into a partnership agreement with The PGA of America in 2011 and is now responsible for timekeeping at all of its events including the PGA Championship and the hotly-contested Ryder Cup when it is held in the United States. Permanent OMEGA clocks have been installed at PGA-owned facilities.
