Founded in California in 2013 with the launch of its groundbreaking Kickstarter campaign for the Xeriscope, Xeric is the product of over two decades of horological passion, creativity, and expertise.

The Xeric journey began in 1998, when founder Mitch Greenblatt received his first timepiece, an experience that sparked a lifelong fascination with unusual watchmaking. His dedication to curating and collecting rare vintage timepieces quickly earned him recognition as a modern horology authority. This passion led to the creation of Watchismo.com in 1999, following a feature in Vogue magazine that praised his knack for sourcing standout watches from the 1960s and '70s. The business gained momentum in 2007 when Mitch’s brother, Andrew, joined forces with him, building a thriving e-commerce platform for the world’s most distinctive timepieces.

Identifying a market gap for mechanical watches that were both innovative and affordable, the brothers teamed up with Danny Hunsaker in 2013, leveraging his deep manufacturing expertise to bring Xeric to life. Since then, Xeric has successfully launched 25 Kickstarter campaigns, including the most funded mechanical watch in the platform’s history.

Xeric’s design philosophy challenges conventional time display, focusing on bold, artistic innovation rather than tradition. As collectors-turned-creators, the brand continues to lead as one of the most recognized independent names in modern horology, producing imaginative timepieces that resonate with enthusiasts around the world.
