ABOUT THE BRAND
Founded in 1888 in Solothurn, Switzerland, ROAMER began with the vision of watchmaker Fritz Meyer to create timepieces that combined durability, elegance, and authentic Swiss craftsmanship. From a small workshop of six employees, the company quickly developed into a fully integrated Swiss watch manufacture. ROAMER became known for producing its own calibers, including the highly regarded MST movements, recognized for their precision and reliability.
By the 1920s, the brand was producing more than one million watches annually and later brought its case and dial manufacturing in-house, ensuring greater control over quality and innovation. Throughout its history, ROAMER has introduced timepieces defined by performance and enduring design. Milestones include the patented water-resistant Anfibio collection, the brand’s first quartz movements in the 1970s, and the Competence collection, which marked a return to its strong mechanical watchmaking heritage.
Today, ROAMER continues to create Swiss Made watches for men and women who appreciate distinctive design, reliable craftsmanship, and timeless quality. Remaining true to its independent spirit, the brand combines more than 135 years of watchmaking tradition with a modern approach to Swiss luxury.
