Swatch introduced the earth phase complication last year, and it remains one of the most inventive horological features in the collection. Mimicking how Earth would appear from the Moon, this indicator follows a reverse 29.5-day cycle, contrasting the traditional moon phase. When the Moon is full from Earth’s view, the earth phase shows a new Earth and vice versa, causing the indicator to move counterclockwise. Below it, Snoopy and Woodstock sit on the Moon, gazing at Earth, with a hidden message that only reveals itself under UV light, a playful nod to the Moonwatch’s pioneering heritage and a tribute to big dreamers.
