The wait is finally over, the nominees for the GPHG 2026 edition have been revealed!

The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) Foundation has unveiled the official list of 84 timepieces nominated for the 26th edition of the GPHG, as well as the stages of its World Tour.

This summer, members of the GPHG Academy selected 78 watches and 6 clocks from among the 320 models submitted by 194 brands. Divided into 14 refined categories, these exceptional timepieces will now compete for one of the 19 prizes awarded to the year’s most beautiful watch creations, including the highly coveted “Aiguille d’Or” Grand Prix.

Increasingly international, GPHG candidates now come from across the Atlantic (Massena Lab), across the Channel (Christopher Ward), China (Ming), the Middle East (Beda'a) and Japan (Naoya Hida & Co. and Otsuka Lotec), to name just a few striking examples when compared with the nominees of the 2010s.

We should also salute the notable return of Blancpain, absent from the GPHG for 12 years and undoubtedly motivated by Breguet’s Aiguille d’Or win last year. Its Grande Double Sonnerie positions it as a serious contender in the Mechanical Exception category.

For the 26th edition of the “Oscars of Watchmaking,” La Pièce n°2 Silver officially joins the prestigious list of nominees for the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG), in the Challenge category.

This nomination acknowledges nearly two years of collaboration between Beaubleu and the Monnaie de Paris (The Mint of Paris), bringing together watchmaking and French minting expertise.

The 2026 winners will be announced on Saturday 7 November at the 26th GPHG awards ceremony, to be held at the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices in Geneva.
