OMEGA's starting blocks featured built-in sensors that played a key role in false-start detection, while integrated speakers ensured every runner heard the starting signal simultaneously. At the finish line, the Scan'O'Vision MYRIA photo-finish camera captured up to 10,000 digital images per second, while high-resolution bulletin boards displayed race information, images, animations and videos for spectators throughout the competition.
