MIDO Multifort TV Big Date: Cult Design Meets Signature Contrast
With a nod to retro design and a bold injection of brand DNA, MIDO introduced the Multifort TV Big Date, a timepiece that reinterprets the vintage square TV aesthetic with unmistakable modern flair. Merging sports-chic appeal with Swiss precision, the watch stood out as a celebration of heritage, innovation, and powerful visual identity.
The timepiece features a black PVD-treated steel case and bracelet, giving it a sleek and contemporary edge. The horizontally brushed dial fades from grey to black, accented with bold strokes of MIDO’s signature orange, highlighting a dynamic contrast that plays with light and depth. At 12 o’clock, the oversized “Big Date” display pulses with energy, further emphasized by a sand-blasted dot marker on the bezel.
Orange Super-LumiNova® elements glow blue in low light, ensuring legibility of the negative-relief indexes and hands, while a dual-sided anti-reflective sapphire crystal eliminates glare for clear readability.
Through the transparent case back, the Caliber 80 automatic movement is visible in all its glory. It offers an 80-hour power reserve and features a Nivachron™ balance spring, delivering robust anti-magnetic performance for everyday reliability. The Geneva stripes on the oscillating weight add a refined touch, reflecting MIDO’s commitment to Swiss craftsmanship.
The Multifort TV Big Date remains available at Rivoli and Hour Choice stores, or online at rivolishop.com.
