Rado: True Round x Les Couleurs Celebrates the Bold Vision of a Master of Modernism

Rado continued its long-running collaboration with Les Couleurs Suisse to honour Le Corbusier. United by a shared mastery of materials, the partnership translated the architect’s Polychromie Architectural palette into high-tech ceramic. Disruptive, captivating and iconic in spirit, the collection reflected a dialogue between architectural modernism and contemporary Swiss watchmaking innovation.

Three special editions drew from landmark works. The first references Cité Radieuse with a laser-engraved béton brut dial in Ivory White 4320B. The second honours the Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts in Iron Grey 32010, echoing sculptural concrete forms. The third celebrates Chandigarh’s Palace of Assembly in Ivory Black 4320E, reflecting monumental geometry and scale.

All three models feature monobloc high-tech ceramic cases, crowns and bracelets, with colours achieved during sintering at 1,450°C. Each reveals the Rado calibre R763 automatic movement through sapphire crystal, delivering an 80-hour power reserve and water resistance to 5 bar. The casebacks display 63 Polychromie Architectural colour strips, uniting durability, design precision and architectural legacy.
