Longines Spirit Zulu

Longines proudly commemorated 100 years since the debut of its first dual time zone wristwatch with the launch of the Spirit Zulu Time 1925. This anniversary edition pays homage to the iconic 1925 model, blending historic significance with modern precision. Its 39 mm stainless steel case was enhanced with a rose-gold-capped bidirectional bezel and features 24-hour graduations for tracking a third time zone. The matte black dial contrasts sharply with rose-gold-plated hands and numerals treated with Super-LumiNova®, while the “1925–2025” engraving and five-star emblem signify a century of horological excellence.

At the heart of the timepiece was the exclusive Longines calibre L844.4 a COSC-certified automatic movement with a silicon balance spring that offers resistance to magnetic fields and up to 72 hours of power reserve. A transparent case back reveals a rose-gold PVD rotor engraved with a planisphere and the Prime Meridian. The watch is offered with a stainless-steel bracelet and a black NATO strap, both interchangeable, and comes in a commemorative box, making it a collector’s piece for global travellers.

Rooted in a history of navigation and aviation, the Spirit Zulu Time 1925 embodies the brand’s pioneering spirit. From early innovations like the 1908 Turkish Watches to the Zulu Time wristwatch used by the Royal Canadian Navy, Longines has long been a leader in multi-time zone solutions. In 2025, the Spirit Zulu Time 1925 not only bridges time zones but also emotional distances, as reflected in the Henry Cavill-led campaign asking: “What time is it there?” reminding wearers that time is more than just numbers, it is a connection.
