Longines: A Lunar Tribute to Timeless Craft

To mark the Year of the Horse, Longines introduced a special edition Master Collection timepiece honouring the Lunar New Year and its connection to the equestrian world. Developed with the Peon Art Museum in Chongqing, it features a finely engraved Xu Peon Galloping Horse motif on the gilt rotor, visible through the transparent case back.

Presented in a 42 mm stainless steel case and limited to 2026 pieces, this edition showcases a red sunray-brushed dial with a subtle gradient finish. Gilt hands and applied indexes lent refined clarity, while a moonphase display at 6 o’clock is framed by a date indicator, balancing elegance, harmony, and lunar symbolism.

The watch is powered by Longines' L899.5 self-winding movement, with a silicon balance-spring and up to 72-hour power reserve. Completed with a black leather strap and stainless-steel folding clasp, it delivers dependable performance and comfort, creating a collector’s piece designed to endure well beyond the year it commemorated.
